Our accessibility policy is simple - all of our services and facilities, whether web based or otherwise, should be as accessibile as possible for all users, regardless of their capabilities. Not only do we try to ensure there is no discrimination based on a visitor's abilities, but we try and offer positive assistance to disadvantaged users.
The following shortcut keys are availble on the GAP 66 website. They are available from every page and in every browser unless otherwise stated. Some of these conflict with the standard access keys of some common browsers. For Internet Explorer on a Windows operating system you can use the built in shortcuts by pressing Alt first, and then the access key. To use the GAP 66 keys press Alt and the access key at the same time.
Note that this applies only for Windows on the PC platform, other platforms may or may not offer certain features, or may implement them differently, such as using Ctrl + access key on a Macintosh computer.
Access Key Notes
It is possible in most browsers on most platforms to move between the links on a web page using the Tab key. In standards compliant browsers it is possible for the web author to define the order in which the links are traversed; in this website the order is as follows:
Note that some of these links may not be visible in some modes, may not be present on some pages, or may function differntly depending on browser support.
For users with a standards-compliant browser and good eyesight, this site is best viewed at a resolution of between 1024 x 768 and 1600 x 1200 on a landscape-oriented monitor. To aid people with poor sight or visual impairements a smaller resolution is recommended. While all pages display correctly at 800 x 600 and most at 640 x 480 the accessibility stylesheet layout is recommended at these resolutions if available in your browser. Many browsers allow the user to choose the size of text on a web page, e.g. in Internet Explorer this is found under the View menu - "Text Size". This is also available on the site options page.
